Phlebotomy Technicians are in-demand health care professionals. Experts estimate that the employment of phlebotomy technicians is projected to grow 25 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for other related occupations. Hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, blood donor centers, and other locations will continue to need phlebotomists to perform blood work.

  • Phlebotomy technicians typically enter the occupation with a postsecondary, non-degree award from a phlebotomy technician program. Almost all employers look for phlebotomists who have earned professional certification.
  • Phlebotomy technicians work mainly in hospitals, medical and diagnostic laboratories, blood donor centers, and doctors’ offices.
  • If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to enter this highly desirable profession, then the NWSC CE Phlebotomy Technician program is for you.
