International Students
Northwest Suburban College welcomes international students to enroll in the Medical Assistant Program, offering hands-on training designed to prepare students for a high-demand career in the healthcare field.
Process
Submit the Application for Admission and the $150 I-20 Issuance Fee via money order or cashier’s check made payable to Northwest Suburban College, and send it to the following address:

U.S.A.Submit and send a copy of your official high school diploma or 11th and 12th grade transcripts. Any available college transcripts must be submitted. If sending transcripts online is not an option, you can mail it to:

U.S.A.- Submit a copy of your passport.
- Submit a Personal Statement explaining your interest in the program, career goals, and reasons for seeking admission to the program. This should be no more than one page, typed, single-spaced, 12-point font.
- Submit a copy of your TOEFL or IELTS score, if available.
Proof of English proficiency may be required, such as a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 61/100, TOEFL PBT score of 500/670, IELTS score of 6.0/9.0, or Duolingo English Test score of 90/160, unless you have completed your education in English or are a U.S. citizen. If you studied in an English-speaking country (2+ years), then no English proficiency test is needed.
- Provisional acceptance may be possible if English proficiency scores are less than the minimum requirement and based on an evaluation of the personal statement and ESL plan.
Submit proof of funds to attend NWSC: One academic year’s cost of attendance must be documented by providing a bank statement.
- For the Medical Assistant Program, the cost of attendance is $28,584.
You will be considered for admission after NWSC receives all required documents. If accepted, a letter of admission and Form I-20 (to obtain a U.S. M-1 visa) will be provided.
